Winter’s Chill

Water is an amazing compound with many unique properties. The most fascinating is that unlike any other compound, water expands when transferring to its solid state – ice. This series is an allegory of expansion and stasis. Expansion and movement of floating elements arrested to stillness, freezing a scene of organic material layered in ice.

Light dances across the surface, penetrating below to expose a hidden world of elegant icescapes.
